Our membership consists of nurses and student nurses who care for acutely and critically ill patients in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and northern Virginia.  Many of our members work in critical care, but others may work on telemetry units, stepdown units, post-anesthesia recovery areas, emergency departments, or in a variety of other settings.  We are united by the goal of providing the very best, evidence-based care to patients and their families.

Activities sponsored by the chapter include dinner meetings, certification review courses, and our annual two-day conference, Spotlight on Critical Care.  We also offer opportunities to participate in special interest groups and planning committees.
